After using the all-new One UI 7.0 on my Galaxy S22, I’ve come across few notable bugs. Some are just minor annoyances with quick workarounds, while others may need to be addressed by Samsung in future updates. I'm listing them below in case others face similar issues or want to try temporary fixes.

---

Home Screen Issues

Samsung Notes Widget:
Switching between light and dark modes causes a "Shimmer UI" effect—only the skeletons of the note icons appear. While the widget still functions, its appearance is broken.
Temporary fix: Remove the widget and add it again to restore normal visuals.
Better Fix: Don't add one 😅

Calendar Widget:
Shows the same shimmer issue when switching themes.
Temporary fix: Tap the widget, go into settings, and save (no need to change anything). This restores the proper layout.

Voice Recorder Widget:
Loses its background after a theme switch.
Temporary fix: Use the same method as the Calendar widget—enter settings and save to fix it.

Lock Screen Issues

App Shortcut Misalignment:
Shortcuts like DND, especially circular icons, are visibly misaligned inside their circular frames on the lock screen.

Now Bar on AOD (Always-On Display):
While the Now Bar is a nice addition, its alignment becomes noticeably off when AOD is enabled, resulting in an awkward appearance.

Final Thoughts

Some of these issues are minor and can be temporarily resolved, but they do impact the overall polish of the experience. I hope Samsung takes note of these bugs and resolves them in upcoming updates to make One UI 7.0 even better.

Is anyone else facing these issues? Feel free to share any additional fixes!

I'm using S22 on one ui 6.0 as I've heard a lot of issues after the 6.1 updates. Shall I update to ui 7 or stick to the same ?

If you're not a heavy user and you handle your phone with care, then updating to One UI 7.0 should be fine. Most of the serious issues like the green line problem or performance-related bugs seem to be reported by users who either push their device to the limit or have a habit of tossing their phones onto beds or soft surfaces—which over time can still impact the hardware.

That said, if you're cautious or have any doubts, it might be better to wait for the next security patch or feedback from a broader group of users before updating. 😊✌🏼
