Galaxy SHi. I just discovered that over 1000 mp3 songs have disappeared from my internal storage and I don't know why. This is extremely frustrating. I've checked my music and download folders and suddenly everything is deleted.. I suspect this happened after the last update on phone. I need help to restore it back somehow!!
Has anybody else experienced this?

Galaxy SI agree
Absolutely ridiculous.
Samsung please solve this issue.
I went through the trouble of logging in here just to complain because it makes me mad!! How can you approve such an absurd step?

Galaxy SI am sorry to inform you that your canned response to the reported issue is inadequate. Please provide escalation procedures so that we can have a capable member of your support and/or engineering team provide details on the background file management procedures for files downloaded to the system file structure, and explain how and why any file, "legal" or otherwise, are deleted, relocated, or otherwise manipulated, without notice or realtime consent. Most importantly, how do we fix it.
Let me put it perspective. Let's say I have an audio or image file containing secure financial data removed without notice and after some months the autosync backup has been updated to reflect that the file is deleted. No file no backup, no record. If there is no way to turn off the auto delete functionality, we are left with few options, not rely on the device storage or stop using the device and take legal action.
This is not an isolated incident as can be seen by posters on this thread and other non Samsung websites. It is a critical ongoing issue that requires immediate resolution.
Be a hero, escallate the issue, push on behalf your customers or quit and find something you have a passion for and make room for someone who cares about fulfilling their duties.
If no response is recieved in 72 hours I will be including this transcript with my communication to your executive team as an example poor customer experience.
Cheers

Galaxy SThe issue is music tracks randomly disappearing for no reason whatsoever from internal storage. Never did I have this issue on my huawei p20 pro. It's only happening since I got the s20+ 5g. There is no reason for music that I have paid for to disappear from my library.

Galaxy SI have a S21+ running Android 12. I use Samsung music player but the same happens in VLC. I have about 1,000 songs, some ripped from CD's from the old days and a large number of paid Amazon downloads. I NEVER HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH ANY OF THOSE SONGS EVER.
Here is the problem: A friend sent me every Beatles song ever recorded, nice labeled directories, 320kbps bit rate, awesome collection. They play fine on my laptop where they are stored in One Drive (which is loaded on my laptop so instant sync with my phone). So I downloaded Abbey Road and Let It Be to my phone, created playlists, and enjoyed these tunes for a few days. At some point within a week, I come back and the playlists are empty, and the files are nowhere to be found. Not in Samsung or VLC music player and not in my Android file explorer app. Just gone. So I downloaded them again and created playlists again, and they disappeared again, and I have done it two more times. Same problem.
I just paid Amazon and downloaded Let It Be and then I redownloaded Abbey Road from One Drive. I suspect that Let It Be will stick around because I paid for it but I fully expect Abbey Road to disappear again. I have inspected the tags from my friends songs and don't see anything unusual. Is it possible for these songs to self destruct like some Mission Impossible tape? This is beyond frustrating and I don't see a solution other than paying for 50 yr old music which I already have high quality files. Any opinion would be welcome.
Update on 3/21/22: Unbelievable, but Let It Be (which I purchased on Amazon Digital music) has disappeared just like the other songs. Playlist still there but devoid of all 12 songs. The files were deleted in VLC as well. Remember this is paid for music and so this is NOT a DRM issue or else all of my music would be gone. But all other Amazon music and older ripped songs are intact. Let It Be is still on One Drive. So I downloaded it again and created a playlist. That lasted a couple of weeks or so and now it is gone a second time. I have no answer for this and I doubt (but hope) anyone can figure it out.

Galaxy SI just bought the ultra 21 512 gigs. After an updated around 4/6/21 all my music and pics have disappeared. I think since they were in my SD card from my note 10 plus, it was wiped out. However, my new phone still shows that the internal storage has the 20gigs of memory somewhere in my phone. I have tried everything to find my pics and music. This is years of memories and music I added to the phone. I am at a lost. I hope Samsung figures this **bleep** out and sends an update or a way for any of us lost souls who lost so many valuable memories through music and photos.
