Galaxy SInstead of long-pressing, try going through: Settings → Lock screen → Edit
You’ll be taken to the lock screen editor where you can:
Move the clock
Change its style, font, and color
Reposition widgets or remove camera shortcuts
2. Remove Custom Themes / Wallpapers
Samsung’s One UI can bug out if:
You're using a custom theme from Galaxy Themes
You're using a video wallpaper or a non-standard Always On Display (AOD)
Fix:
1. Go to Settings → Themes
2. Tap Default (for theme, wallpaper, icons)
3. Reboot phone and try again.
3. Clear Cache of Key Apps
Corrupted data in these system apps can break lock screen editing:
Go to Settings → Apps
Tap the three dots → Show system apps
Find and clear cache and data for:
One UI Home
Samsung Clock
Lock Screen Stories (if available)
Then reboot your phone.
4. Check for Software Updates
Samsung has been fixing One UI 6.1 and lock screen bugs in May/June 2025 updates.
Go to Settings → Software update → Download and install
5. Reset Lock Screen Settings (Non-Destructive)
You can reset lock screen settings without wiping your phone:
Go to Settings → General Management → Reset → Reset settings
> This won’t delete apps or data — only resets preferences.
