The flare you're seeing on your S23 camera is likely due to a normal phenomenon that occurs when shooting under backlight with the sun or light source close to the screen frame. This is especially noticeable when taking pictures of objects around bright lights. Additionally, fingerprint or foreign matter on the lens can also cause flares.

To minimize the flare, try to ensure the sun or light source is not too close to the screen, and remove any foreign materials on the lens before taking a photo. You can clean the lens by wiping it with a clean and soft cloth in a circular motion.

Some users have also reported experiencing extreme lens flares on the telephoto lens, and minor flares on the ultra-wide lens, even when the lens is clear and free of dust or scratches. If you're concerned about the flare, you can try troubleshooting or visiting a Samsung authorized service center for further assistance.
