I have tried applying a Screen Protector Guard/ Film and also Tempered Glass, and then, re-registering my fingerprints, but the scanner lags a lot & mostly fails in recognizing my fingerprints. However, it reads perfectly when there's no protection applied on the screen. Hence, please recommend a suitable protection (or screen guard material) for the phone with which the sensor works perfectly and the screen also stays protected from scratches.

Yeah bro know that and i am using mine without a screen protectoor reason ultrasonic fingerprint tech which needs to make 3d image of your finger not problem in midrangers because they use optical fingerprint which is considerd to be less secure

Thanks for your answer. Do we need tempered glass? What's your opinion?

Use Gadgetshieldz screen protector which is good with fingerprint sensor, I'm using it on my old phone for a year and no issues with fingerprint!
