Same here mate! Its been much better with atleast 1 hour increase in SOT (5.5 hours with Gboard and 4.5 hours with Samsung Keyboard dont have screenshots) and also 3-4 hours improvement in standby time. Now it lasts for almost 24+ hours with jyst 85 - 20%. Btw using a Z flip 4 which has only 3700mah battery capacity.

I think if you use your phone's majority of time in typing then the battery consumption could have been optimised for GBoard.

But if you are solely using for watching content or video recording, I don't think it would affect the SOT.

Do you type a lot? If yes, then it might be helpful..but i don't think gboard might be useful for those who dont spend a lot on typing but other things like streaming, music..etc
