How to stop the data usage for whatsapp both mobile and wifi even while other apps are using them

Not possible in phone. May be if you have firewall options in your wifi router. Else uninstall WhatsApp from phone and use it in PC.

Officially not possible,there is no such option..

May be putting the app in deep sleep helps.

Or if you are bothering about the automatic downloads from groups which is emptying all the data, u can go to settings in whatsapp -> storage and data, and select automatic downloads only for photos or documents as ur wish
