Galaxy STo help me understand the situation better, could you please tell me:
What type of activities are causing the overheating? (e.g., gaming, browsing, video calls, charging)
How long does it take for the phone to start overheating?
Have you noticed any other performance issues besides overheating? (e.g., battery drain, lag)
In the meantime, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
Clear Cache Partition: Clearing the cache partition can sometimes resolve issues with system features. To do this:
Turn off your phone completely.
Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Power button at the same time until the Samsung logo appears.
Use the Volume buttons to navigate to "Wipe cache partition" and press the Power button to select it.
Use the Volume buttons to navigate to "Yes" and press the Power button to confirm.
Once the cache partition is wiped, select "Reboot system now" and press the Power button to restart your phone.
Check Battery Usage: Go to Settings > Battery and device care > Battery and see which apps are using the most battery. If you notice any apps consuming a lot of battery in the background, try restricting their background activity or uninstalling them.
Optimize Battery Settings: Use the built-in battery optimization features, such as adaptive battery and power saving mode.
Check for App Updates: Make sure all your apps are up to date, as outdated apps can sometimes cause performance issues.
Disable Unused Features: Turn off features you're not using, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, location services, and NFC.
Factory Reset (Use as a last resort): If none of the above steps work, you may need to perform a factory reset. Important: This will erase all data on your phone, so be sure to back up your important files first.
I also recommend checking the Samsung Community forums for your device to see if other users are experiencing similar overheating issues after the February update. You may find helpful tips or workarounds from other users.
