Guys, if you are from India, let's file a lawsuit against Samsung together. I'm done with this brand and their victim blaming even when there's nothing to blame. I'm using S20+ which is in an excellent condition (physically) and there's not even a battery issue. I charge it once a day to 85% and it lasts longer than my brother's S21FE even if I use it more than him. In April 2022 after a major update, I got a greenline and I had been only using it for 1y7m. After inspection and confirming that my phone has no physical damage or water damage or even a scratch, they still charged me Rs.12000 for the display after 25% "discount" when a lot of people were getting it for free. It was a common issue even back then and their stupid reason was that I'm from Mumbai lol. I wasn't willing to update my phone after that so last year in April-May, I contacted Samsung India on Twitter to ask if it is safe to update my phone as I received an update for OneUI which caused display line a year earlier. They said someone will contact me but no one did. I'm moving for studies soon so I contacted Samsung again last week because I've bought a new SD card and wanted to update my phone only after Samsung's assurance but got the same reply again. I waited. And then yesterday, there was a forced update which I didn't want and had no option to cancel. I panicked while my phone was being updated because I am going out with family this weekend and I didn't want any issue. I removed phone cover (Spigen) to avoid heating and took a video of my phone from my brother's phone while it was being updated and it can be seen that there was no issue then. After the update, I messaged samsung how did my phone automatically install the update? Then after the update, almost immediately I messaged them there's no problem as of now. After a few minutes while the phone was in my hands, a green line and thin red line appeared on my screen! I contacted Samsung and years later, they're still not acknowledging their faults and asking me to pay full amount (16k) for the display. I didn't even want to update! I managed to avoid it for a year and half and it was forced on me. Paying 28k just for displays with no warranty is ridiculous!! Their idiotic policies have to be challenged. Their updates are clearly causing this and I have a proof this time, although thousands of users are complaining about the same thing. I have invested everything I have in my education. All my smartphones have been S series phones but I'm done with them. We all need to do something about this!

Update: They just called me and said we'd give you 25% discount as per the policy, just like they did last time. So that's Rs 12000 AGAIN. I'm fed up of this company.

I have lost my s20 and S21 Ultra for the same reasons. Now I switched to pixel and decided that I will never look at Samsung in the future

I think I need to do this as well. They're going to let me know the resolution in a couple of days. Let's see what they do.
