[Galaxy S6/Galaxy S6 Edge] Android Oreo & Samsung Experience UI

Is there any possibility for the Galaxy S6 to get the newest version of Samsung Experience UI? Since it can't get any major software updates due to Samsung's software updates policy, could we at least see Samsung Experience coming with a security update? We, the customers would really love to get it!

Edit: It seems that the Galaxy S6 is likely going to receive a third major update (Android Oreo). According to a couple of Samsung customer care representatives (from India) who were asked about that by Reddit user CyberConCoder, Samsung is working on bringing Oreo to this flagship! Maybe, Samsung is finally extending the support period for its flagships for major Android upgrades to more than two years! I have attached some photos of his chats with the representatives!

If UI is the only thing you're looking for, you can install the launcher and some apps ported from S8.

It's an unofficial port though!

Don't expect official updates. S6's support cycle for major updates has ended already. You would only receive security updates and minor improvements until Q1 2018.

Samsung never pushed an UI update alone. It is tied to a system update. Even S7 is not on Samsung Experience, as it hasn't got a system update since 7.0.

If the above article is legit, phones which are already on 7.0 wouldn't get another update for 7.1.1. So chances of S6 getting the new UI is quite low.
