Today I checked my gallery and again my images in my camera got deleted automatically. No permission was asked or any prior notice for getting a backup was given. All videos, screenshots and screen recordings are as it is. I was loving my S21 Fe experience but now I'm too disappointed. The photos I had deleted manually were still in trash and no other photos were in the trash of gallery/google photos/my files.

This happened a few days ago as well and I just moved on thinking that it might have happened once. But today I just opened my gallery just to look at a few previous dated pictures but they were just not there. When I had taken those pictures they were in the gallery for 1-2 hours and then just dissappeared.

Can it be because i once forgot my password and had to factory reset the phone twice?

I read a lot many similar experiences from other samsung users on samsung website and the only response samsung gave was buy the storage on cloud. Why should I buy cloud storage, if I already have 256GB storage in my phone. I want my pictures back.

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your concern, we want to inform you that photos may not be visible if the app's permissions have been denied.

● Kindly allow the app permission once: Settings> Apps> Select the desired app(Gallery)> Tap Permissions> Tap Photos and videos> Select Always allow all.

● Pictures downloaded from some apps may not appear in Gallery. Sometimes, downloaded images will appear in the Download folder but not in the main Picture tab or in other folders, like Camera.

1. Tap Albums, and then tap Downloads to check if the images are there.

2. Home screen> Apps> My files> Device storage> Download> From here you will be able to access all of your downloaded files

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
