Firmware change with respect to country

I am based in India. My device is, SM-G996U (S21+) US carrier version. I am missing out on various features like 

1. No updates ever since I bought the phone. Its running with One UI 5 and Dec 2022 security patch.

2. Unable to set pin for Samsung Wallet while setting it up (probably due to CSC), No Call recording option, Unable to add Jio sim as esim.

 Anyone who got changed thier phone's firmware from country to any other country or anyother firmware which enabled all these features with the help of Samsung Service Centers? Please reply.

My brother's device (Note 20 Ultra) got badly damaged after he tried it with the US unlocked phone. He followed the guides on XDA for this. And his warranty was void even in US because his device was modified. Link to the guide he followed:

that is what I am afraid of. So, I asked for details of anyone who got it done from Any Samsung Service Center..
Will they help me on this?

You can try bro. But i dont think they can help either. This model wont even be on their database being purchased outside india.

There are 2 things to note here.

1. Changing the CSC can cause damage to the device, which can be unrecoverable without some serious tinkering, or the switch may just simply fail.

2. You say that your device is a US carrier locked one, which means that you will simply not be able to change the CSC.

Dude, I am not sure if it is locked or unlocked. So as per model name, does that mean it is locked?

Even under unlocked, there are two categories, carrier unlocked and fully unlocked. It could be either unlocked or locked, you have the device, you have to confirm it. Also can you share the service provider software version? Its available under software information.
