Galaxy S
Hello guys. I have 1 e sim registered in my s24 ultra. If I do a factory reset and format my phone. What happens to my sim? Will it be completely erased and I have to contact my carrier to install a new one? Or it will be available?

A factory reset on your Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will not erase or affect your eSIM. The eSIM is stored in a secure, dedicated chip within the phone that isn’t wiped during a reset. After the reset, your eSIM profile should still be available, and you can reconnect to your carrier’s network without needing to contact them for a new one.
However, there are a few things to keep in mind:
- **Carrier Settings**: You may need to reconfigure network settings (like APN) if they don’t automatically populate post-reset.
- **Activation**: In rare cases, you might need to re-authenticate or reactivate the eSIM with your carrier, but this usually doesn’t require a new eSIM installation.
- **Backup**: If you’re signed out of your carrier’s app or account, ensure you have login details handy to manage your plan post-reset.
To be safe, check with your carrier before resetting to confirm their specific eSIM behavior. If you’re planning to sell or give away the phone, you’d need to manually delete the eSIM profile before resetting, as it won’t be removed automatically.
