Go to fingerprints settings, remove all the fingerprints you have added before, then re-register your fingerprints. Now it will work.

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your concern, we want to inform you that Samsung cannot guarantee compatibility with third-party products, as the thickness and structure of protective films or screen protectors may affect the performance of the fingerprint sensor. So if you are using third-party Screen Guard /Screen Protector remove it and try re-registering the fingerprint again. If the issue persists, we recommend that you contact the service centre from where you have purchased the glass for your device.

Remove fingerprint and set up fingerprint again: Remove the current fingerprint and set up the fingerprint again. When you touch the sensor to set up a fingerprint, make sure you set the entire fingerprint, including the outer area of your fingertip. Setting the entire fingerprint area enables successful fingerprint recognition with any grip.

For removing fingerprint: Settings> Biometrics and Security> Fingerprints> Fingerprint1> Remove> Remove again to confirm.

For Set up Fingerprint: Settings> Biometrics and Security> Fingerprints> Add Fingerprint> Scan your fingerprint> Place your finger on the sensor, then lift it off when you feel a vibration> Continue> Reposition your finger each time to capture the edge of your fingerprint> Done> Fingerprint added successfully.

In case the issue still occurs, please visit the service centre for a physical inspection of your device. You can locate your nearest service centre with this given link: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/service-center/

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
