I am writing to report an issue with my Samsung Galaxy S23. Whenever I charge my phone, it does not exceed 81% charge, even though it has been plugged in for an extended period.

I have tried several troubleshooting steps, including performing a reset and toggling various settings as suggested in support articles, but the issue persists.

Could you kindly assist me in resolving this problem or provide further troubleshooting steps?

First, check if the 'Protect Battery' or similar setting is enabled in your phone's battery settings, as this may limit the charge. If this is not the case, I recommend using the Samsung Members app's diagnostic tool to test your battery.

Here are some additional steps you can try:

* Check your charger and cable: Make sure you are using a Samsung-approved charger and cable. Inspect them for any damage. Try using a different charger and cable to see if that makes a difference.

* Clean the charging port: Sometimes, debris in the charging port can prevent a good connection. Gently clean the port with compressed air.

* Check for moisture: If your phone detects moisture in the charging port, it will not charge. Make sure the port is completely dry.

* Check fast charging settings: Ensure that fast charging is enabled in your phone's battery settings.

If none of these steps work, it may be necessary to contact Samsung Support or visit a service center.

Disable Adaptive battery and battery protection. If after doing this you still get it get it checked at service centre. Overload protection circuit will need a close look.
