Dear user, you may safely withdraw your device from the beta program following the official One UI 8.5 update, without incurring the automatic factory reset that typically precedes the installation of official updates. You will receive future beta programmes Safely supported to the device and no need to worry.

I saw that stable build should not have Z letter in last 4 digit of build number. It suggests beta version. So I am confused

As an S24FE user, I also experienced some initial confusion upon receiving the third beta update. Should you wish to revert, you may safely withdraw from the beta program without any adverse impact on your device's performance or data.

I have replicated this process on my S23 Ultra. A downgrade is not necessary as you have already transitioned to the updated version. Once you update to the official release, your device automatically shifts from the beta program to the official update server. Your withdrawal from the beta program is inconsequential, as the notification explicitly states that failure to update to the official version will result in the cessation of future updates. In your specific situation, you have updated to the final version and subsequently exited the beta, a procedure I have also followed. Should you wish to confirm this, you may connect your device to a PC via a USB cable and open Smart Switch. After approximately 10 seconds, if a downgrade option appears, your device remains on the beta. Conversely, if no such option is presented, your device is on the official update path and will continue to receive future updates.

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your concern, we would like to inform you that if you have withdrawn from the beta program, in this case, to receive the stable software update of One UI 8.5, please be sure to reinstall (rollback) to the final version of the official software.

You can reinstall the software using the PC version of Smart Switch. Once the software is reinstalled, the device will be reset, and all data generated during the Beta Program will be erased. While you can recover all data that was backed up before installing the beta software, there may be limitations in recovering data created after installing the beta software.

If the issue still occurs, please visit the service center for a physical inspection of your device. You can locate your nearest service center with this given link: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/service-center/

We want to inform you that the stable software update of One UI 8.5 has been released for all users of S24 series. We request you to please wait as you will receive the update on your device soon. Please stay active on the samsung members app for updates and additional information.

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
