Galaxy SDear Samsung Member,
Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!
As per your concern, we would request you to kindly perform the following steps to resolve your issue.
We want to inform you about the Samsung Members app (Battery Status (Battery life + Battery Capacity).
You can check the "Battery Status (Battery life + Battery Capacity)" test using the Samsung Members app.
Battery life depends on how the battery is used. Note that different devices have different battery life. The expected battery life for your model can be found in the manual.
We would like to inform you about the standard charging procedure (charge in one go instead of charging many times as it affects the life span of the battery and battery performance).
Charge in one go instead of charging many times as it affects the life span of the battery and battery performance
Perform Battery Optimization
Battery optimization helps you to boost the battery performance of your device. To check battery optimization:
Settings > Select Device Maintenance/Device Care/Battery and device care > Optimize > Optimize all options like Battery, Storage, and Memory.
Turn off Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, etc.
Turn off unused functions like Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and location settings when not using them: On the home screen swipe down the notification panel > Turn off Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and other connectivity features when not using them.
Check device network fluctuation
Kindly check whether the mobile network fluctuates frequently or if the network signal is low in your area. In both cases, the battery will drain considerably fast.
Recommendation: We recommend you avoid using it in areas with low network/fluctuation.
Reduce display brightness level.
Kindly set the device display brightness in auto mode (If available).
Adjust screen timeout settings: Settings > Display > Screen timeout > Select minimum screen timeout.
Check and update the App: Kindly check which application or interface is using more battery from device care. And try to update the app or avoid using that app.
Close background running apps.
Close all the background running apps when not using them,
Turn off auto sync of e-mails, app data, etc.
We request you turn off the auto sync option, it will stop the synchronization of the device with the server & reduce the battery drainage.
The steps to turn off auto sync are:
1. Swipe down on the home screen to open the notification panel.
2. Turn off the auto sync option.
Check your device in safe mode: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/safe-mode-on-samsung-phones/
Update the software if available: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/samsung-galaxy-smartphone-how-to-update-software/
Reset your device: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/samsung-galaxy-mobile-how-to-perform-a-factory-res...
In case the issue still occurs, kindly report the problems with a log file. To share a log file, click on the Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on error report > Type your query > Send).
Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support

Galaxy SThe problem with the battery draining quickly because of Contact Storage high battery usage appeared on my S21+ about 2 months.
Going to settings --> apps, filter/display system apps --> Contact Storage, delete cache and app data (everything previously synced to my Google account, of course) and battery --> restricted mode did not solve the issue.
After seeing some online discussion on the issue I realized that it might not necessarily be the fault of the "contact storage" samsung system app itself, but rather that it might have been caused by some recently updated third party app making frequent Contacts requests/lookups. So I went to settings -> Security and Privacy -> Manage Permissions -> Contacts, and REMOVED the Contacts permission from many third party apps that don't really need it (Garmin Connect, Strava, etc...). I also removed the Contacts permission from the SAMSUNG Messages app, since a while ago Google Messages has become the default messaging/SMS app in Galaxy S21+ and there could be some kind of conflict between these two apps accessing contacts at the same time for the same purpose.
Nevertheless, I kept the Contacts permission active for the Whatsapp, Telegram, Phone, Uber, Contacts, and other apps that DO really need it).
INCREDIBLY SOLVED!!! Contact Storage has dropped from more than 20% to around 2,1% or less battery usage. And the battery is lasting much longer, more than 1 day for sure.
I haven't noticed any side effects of this workaround, so far.
Samsung Galaxy S21+
Android 14
OneUI 6.1
Messages app (Google) version 20240528_00_RC01
Messages app (Samsung) version 15.1.20.27
Contact Storage version 15.0.64

Galaxy SAnother procedure that has been reported as helpful by some users for solving the issue of excessive battery drain after major Android updates (including this issue of contact storage apparently draining too much battery) is wiping (clearing) the cache partition. The procedure for Android 11 and above is described here: https://r2.community.samsung.com/t5/Others/Android-11-How-to-Wipe-Cache-Partition/td-p/6650827
