To address the issue of banking apps not working in the Secure Folder on your Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, despite them working fine on your previous S23 Ultra, you can follow these detailed steps to try and resolve the problem:

Step-by-Step Solutions

Update Software and Apps

Ensure your S24 Ultra has the latest software updates.Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.Update all your apps, including the banking apps.Open Google Play Store or Galaxy Store and update your apps.

Clear Cache and Data of Secure Folder and Banking Apps

Go to Settings > Apps.Find Secure Folder, tap on it, go to Storage, and tap Clear Cache and Clear Data.Do the same for each banking app within the Secure Folder.

Reinstall Banking Apps within Secure Folder

Open Secure Folder.Uninstall the problematic banking apps.Reinstall them from the Google Play Store or Galaxy Store within the Secure Folder.

Check Permissions and Settings

Go to Settings > Apps > [Banking App] > Permissions.Ensure all required permissions are granted (e.g., SMS, storage, phone, etc.).In the Secure Folder settings, ensure all necessary permissions are enabled.Open Secure Folder > Settings and verify configurations.

Disable Battery Optimization for Banking Apps

Go to Settings > Apps > [Banking App] > Battery > Optimize battery usage.Select All apps from the dropdown and disable optimization for the banking apps.

Check Device and Security Settings

Ensure your device's security settings are not interfering with app functionality.Go to Settings > Biometrics and security > Secure Folder > Apps.Verify that there are no restrictions or settings blocking the apps from functioning correctly.

Re-enable Secure Folder

Sometimes re-enabling Secure Folder can resolve issues.Go to Settings > Biometrics and security > Secure Folder.Toggle it off and then back on.Additional Considerations

Compatibility Check

Check if there are known compatibility issues between your banking apps and the S24 Ultra.Visit the official websites or contact support for your banking apps to see if there are updates or patches available.

I have already reported this issue long ago, and the response was, it's their intention to disable sms inside secure folder. Which is strange and weird response.

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your concern, As per your query, we want to inform you that the UPI apps are not working in a secure folder as this is the concept in the new update. You have to use the UPI apps outside of the Secure Folder. However, we are taking your valuable feedback regarding this.

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
