OTP from banking and upi payment apps not received in “Secure Folder”.

You all members might know that Samsung has discontinued the “OTP Protection Feature” which used to provide a Complete Security to "Banking & UPI Payment Apps" that were installed in "Secure Folder"!

Yes.. Now OTPs from banking and UPI payment apps are not being received in "Secure Folder"!

Samsung has Removed this Important Security Feature from the Phone, for which I have expressed my protest to Samsung several times through email. In response to the email, Samsung has clearly said that you have to install your Banking and UPI Payment Apps outside the Secure Folder, which is Very Harmful for the Security of UPI Payment Apps.

Such an irrational response cannot be expected from Samsung.

How many of you keep Banking and UPI Payment Apps in "Secure Folder"? Please do give a Response.

If you also understand the correct use of "Secure Folder" then you too must have felt very Sad like Me!

If Banking and UPI Payment Apps cannot be put in "Secure Folder", then is "Secure Folder" only for storing Photos and Videos?

To promote Digital India, the Government of India has given more and more promotion to the online facilities in which Online Banking and UPI Services are the important facilities provided by the Government.

Samsung "Secure Folder" was a "Safe Bank Locker" that provided tremendous security to “Online Banking Apps”.

In today's era where there is a need to strengthen the Security of Online Digital Banking Payments, Samsung has removed the Security of "Secure Folder" from its Phone, making it a Normal Basic Phone.

If a robber snatches your Phone and withdraws all the Money from your Bank Account by scanning your finger, then what is the use of Samsung's “KNOX Security”? Such an incident can happen to anyone, anywhere. In such a situation, keeping your Banking Apps in a "Secure Folder" could have saved your Money. Because the robber cannot see your Banking Apps.

Such incidents happen frequently in the area of South Delhi where I live. I am a Samsung S21 Plus user since 2021, in which Banking Apps were working fine in "Secure Folder". As soon as I upgraded to S24 Ultra, the Security feature of "Secure Folder" went away, just like Bluetooth has been removed from S-Pen in S25 Ultra. I don't know why Samsung does this to Indian Customers.

Samsung should seriously work on the Security of the Phone. After the upgrade, the Security of the Phone should be strengthened rather than reduced and eliminated.

I would like to tell all of you Smart Phone users that you must write your feedback on Samsung Members regarding the downgrade of the Phone, otherwise Samsung will continue to sell its phones to users by downgrading them arbitrarily even after charging a Higher Price.

I bought S24 Ultra only for the Security of Banking Apps, which turned out to be a Big Mistake on my part. It would have been better if I had bought iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Samsung has shamelessly hidden the flaws in their Phones by plainly telling you to forget about Security and install your Banking Apps outside of the "Secure Folder".

If Samsung has even a little shame then it should get its capable engineers to fix the problem of receiving OTP in the "Secure Folder" of the Phones, otherwise it will not take long for Samsung to fall from the second position to the last position.

I don't know if my comment on Samsung Members will reach you or not! But I felt it was important to share my feelings with you all. If any of you took my comment the wrong way then I am sorry that you do not have complete knowledge of the phone.

In today's time, our bank is also connected to our phone. If the phone is safe then our bank accounts are also safe. Even if the phone gets stolen, the bank account and money should remain safe. 

For example, Samsung's "Secure Folder" which had strong Security is Now Gone.

Finally, I would like to request Samsung to reinvent the Security of the “Secure Folder” on their Phones through their R&D team and also strengthen the Security of their Customers’ Bank Accounts.
