As per your query, we want to inform you that this feature focuses on the sound, while you are on call with someone. When you are on a call with someone, a Mic icon will come with the calling number, you need to click that number, and your voice focus mode will be on.
However, Kindly follow the steps for resolve your device microphone issue.
Disconnect the headphones and follow the below steps:
Remove any third-party case, protective films, or any other accessory that usually comes in contact with your device.
Restart the device: Press & hold the power key> Restart> Tap again to Restart your phone.
Note: If you use the security feature, the phone will require your backup password to unlock after rebooting.
Record your voice without using headphones by using a voice recorder" and playing the recorded audio:
Navigate to the apps screen and tap on the Samsung folder> Voice Recorder> Tap on the recording to record your voice then tap on Stop to save the recording> Save> Select and tap on recently recorded audio to hear the audio quality.
Note: If the recorded audio quality is good, then your microphone is working fine.

You can reset your device by following the steps.
1. Kindly create a data backup of your device via the SMART switch mobile application or http://www.samsung.com/in/support/smartswitch pc suite.
2. Remember the Google password before resetting the device because it is required during initial setup.
3. If you do not remember then advice to reset (Forgot password) his/her Google account.
Path: Settings> General Management.> Reset.> Tap on Temporary cloud backup or External storage backup> After backup tab on Factory data reset to reset your device to its factory default settings. This will erase all data, including files and downloaded apps.
