Sharing few screenshots to show my unusual battery drain of my S23 ultra after the one ui 6 update. I charged my phone till 85% which I usually do and before this update, I used to get approx 5 hrs 15 mins SOT when I reach 30% mark with my kind of usage. But after the update, when I reached 30% mark, I just got approx 4 hrs SOT ( Note- THE SCREENSHOT IS SHOWING 4 hrs 56 Mins SOT, BUT 1 HR SOT IS FROM LAST CHARGE, AND 4 HRS FROM CURRENT CHARGE). So, I got just 4 hrs SOT by using 55% charge. Approx 1 hr SOT has got reduced after this update. Now, people will jump and recommend to do this and that to improve my backup, my question is why should I ? Earlier also, I used the same settings and used to get better SOT, then just to hide the actual fact, why should I change my settings to improve when the problem is not with my usage rather it's with the update and the SAMSUNG guys should acknowledge this.
So, if any Samsung people is seeing my post, my request is that please come up with an update which fixes these issues ASAP. The S23 ULTRA was at par with the iphones for its performance and battery backup, then why removing the crown with a buggy update.

Yeah, I do that. Never allows to drop below 25%

Well the overall concept is lithium ion batteries work very well in 20 to 85% battery range if u maintain ur phone in this range ur battery health would be very good and secondly they will not deteriorate that fast and ur overall SOT would be maintained for years

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your concern, we would request you to kindly perform the following steps to resolve your issue. However, we are taking your valuable feedback regarding this.

Charge in one go instead of charging many times as it affects the life span of the battery and battery performance

Perform Battery Optimization
Battery optimization helps you to boost the battery performance of your device. To check battery optimization:
Settings > Select Device Maintenance/Device Care/Battery and device care > Optimize > Optimize all options like Battery, Storage, and Memory

Turn off Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, etc.
Turn off unused functions like Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and location settings when not using them: On the home screen swipe down the notification panel > Turn off Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and other connectivity features when not using them.

Check device network fluctuation
Kindly check whether the mobile network fluctuates frequently or if the network signal is low in your area. In both cases, the battery will drain considerably fast.
Recommendation: We recommend you avoid using it in areas with low network/fluctuation.

Reduce display brightness level
Kindly set the device display brightness in auto mode (If available).
Adjust screen timeout settings: Settings > Display > Screen timeout > Select minimum screen timeout.

Check and update the App: Kindly check which application or interface is using more battery from device care. And try to update the app or avoid using that app.

Close background running apps
Close all the background running apps when not using them,

Turn off auto sync of e-mails, app data, etc.
We request you turn off the auto sync option, it will stop the synchronization of the device with the server & reduce the battery drainage.
The steps to turn off auto sync are:
1. Swipe down on the home screen to open the notification panel.
2. Turn off the auto sync option.
Check your device in safe mode: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/safe-mode-on-samsung-phones/

Update the software if available: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/samsung-galaxy-smartphone-how-to-update-software/

Reset your device: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/samsung-galaxy-mobile-how-to-perform-a-factory-res...

If the issue still persists kindly report the problems with a log file. To share a log file, click on the Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on error report > Type your query > Send).

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support

The points you mentioned are already done by me. I m not a first time mobile user. When the same settings worked well for me in one ui 5.1 and used to give good SOT, then why should I manipulate those after updating to one ui 6. The fault is not with my phone settings but your stupid update which is draining battery like anything. And I am not the only one who is complaining, there are many.

Its a fligship mobile and we need to turn off all these features to get good battery life? With all these settings ON, battery life was good with one ui 5.1, the issue is with updates like ONE UI 6.0 that you are providing. fix those before suggesting to deactivate all the featurs.

Now a days midrange devices are giving better battery life, not able to understand y flagships are unable to achive that even though we are paying more.
