Airtel VoLTE failure on Galaxy S23 Ultra & Galaxy S24 Ultra

I have recently got a new Airtel Postpaid SIM for my old postpaid connection with Airtel. The original SIM was more than 10 years old. With Galaxy S23U, I am constantly facing one issue. The Airtel Volte suddenly disappears. So when I make or receive a call, the network gets switched to 2G, as without VoLTE, calls can't be initiated on the 4G network. I have also tested this new SIM on my second phone, which is a Xiaomi 14 ultra, and there I didn't face such an issue. To fix this issue, I have taken the following steps.

1. Swapped to a brand new postpaid SIM from Airtel.

2. Reset the network settings twice, once when the old SIM was active and a second time when the new SIM was activated. 

3. Saved the operator settings for mobile data and MMS whenever Airtel sent the same to my device. 

Even after all this, the device loses the Airtel VoLTE randomly. After calling Airtel, they have said it's a Samsung device issue. So I tried again with my friend's S24U, and even his device faces the same random VoLTE disconnection issue with Airtel. I have also experienced that VoWiFi is also not stable in the S23U. 

What's the solution to this? I hope the Galaxy product team looking after the Galaxy S23U investigates this issue and provides a fix via software updates. 

Update: Post One UI 6.1 (6.1.1) September update for the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the VoLTE is quite stable with Airtel 4G and 5G network. 

Update 2: The issue is back with the October update. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Bro I'm from samsung might be your sim has a issue because we tested on s23U , even I myself have a postpaid airtel with jio (esim prepaid) I'm not getting any issues bro works completely fine

I had the same issue with the older sim, so Airtel asked to get a new one. Even with the new one I got same issue. Other devices I own from Xiaomi which is 14 ultra not having this issue at all. Only my S23U, and my friend's S24U experienced this issue.

Without VoLTE it can't make calls on 4G. No device can.

Yes when VoLTE works, it works on 5G too. But when many times it just disappears and then data works on either 5G or 4G. But when call comes, it switches to 2G.

Not like that. When the device is on standby, the device loses the VoLTE protocol. The device stays either on 4G or 5G and according to that data works too. But when I initiate the call or receive the call, due to non availability of VoLTE, the device switches to 2G for calls.
