A Major Charging Bug on S21 Fe

I have a 45w samsung charger and a power bank which charges at 25w.

It takes 40 min to charge while using the 25w charger to 85% and it shows fast charging.

I don't know if the phone supports super fast charging at 45w, but when i connect to a 45w Samsung charger it shows super fast charging and 50 min to charge.

So charging at a higher wattage increases time???

FYI: phone doesn't support super fast charging, max charge input is 25w, but the why the difference??

I tested the powerbank output wattage, it gives me only 20w , which is lower than 25w,

Yet it charges faster than 45w samsung charger.....

S21 FE support only 25W Charging speed.
It doesn't mean you have 45W charger so your phone need to charge at 45W either it support 45W Charging speed.

Yeah, i still dont get why there's a difference in time, the reason i brought samsung 45w charger is because it can work with variable output, ie 45w with that which have 45 w and 25w with which it supports 25w.

And i dont know why, is it a bug or an performance issue with the extremely overpriced samsung charger which doesn't do what it advertises.

So basically it should charge faster at 25w rather than with a 20 w charge from a powerbank, which is not the case here.

S21FE supports charging at 25W and it'll happily take power from a 45W adapter. But you have to keep one thing in mind that the phone will heat up more while using higher power adapter that excessive heat can slow charging down. So your slow powerbank can charge the phone faster because the phone will heat less.

For the "super fast charging" and "fast charging" message, Samsung phones trigger "fast charging or FS" at 15W and "super fast charging or SFS" at 25W. So your power bank charging at 20w will not trigger SFS.

I am using the 45w samsung charger which advertises variable charging outputs,
So i guess it should be charging with a 25w input.

Also the predited time to charge on the phone to changes , here the difference is only 6 minutes or so.

The thing i am concerned about is if the charger only charges at 45w, then it not doing what it advertised.

And i havent noticed any heating issues while charging.

So wouldn't it be bad charging optimisation on the software part rather than the hardware.

There should be a notable difference when charging at 20w and 25w.......

Note : I just got the phone, and fr really disappointed with the battery life. Maybe its the disappointed me hoping that atleast the charging time would be reduced.

Yeah, pretty much does what it says to do, nothing more, u can always go for an better one, based on your requirements.

The Samsung charger uses a technology called programmable power supply (PPS) which keeps changing the power supply throughout the charging period to keep your phone from heating up and protects your battery. I think your power bank is charging at a constant output of 20W. This might be the reason that the power bank is charging your device faster than the Samsung charger.
