If you save to 5g only network then

Go to call ( phone app ) and put *#4636#*#*

( *1 If no menu pop up then install another phone app eg Google phone app and just write same code there ( don't dial the code )

*2 please turn off auto blocker from settings before run the code)

Now a menu pop up
At there bellow a option will be there preferred network type

Set nr only option there

You will get 5g all time now

(* note for some areas at 5g no incoming calls might be come , so remember to swich back to auto or lte only )

Yes bro same thing happening in my S22. When my device is on stand by or locked the network switch to lte from 5g and when i start using phone it switch back to 5g mode. And i suggest you not force your phone to 5g only because you will see call drop or no connection after switching to 5g only. This thing is not causing any problem to me so it's ok for me. Infact the battery backup of my device is also improved
