I’m using the Galaxy A55 5G, and while I appreciate its design and display quality, I feel it’s missing many features and optimizations compared to other brands, even in lower price ranges.
For example, Oppo phones under ₹20,000 have smoother Always-on Display to lock screen transitions, better animations, and features like AI Eraser, App Lock, Dual Phone feature, and advanced customization options. Even brands like Nothing are providing AI integration, creative widgets, and fluid animations across all their models.
In comparison, the A55 5G (₹46,000) lacks:
Smooth AOD to lock screen animation
App Lock (other than Secure Folder)
Dual Phone feature
AI Eraser (that regenerates background)
Samsung DeX support
Better night photography performance
It’s disappointing when friends compare their budget devices with my Galaxy A55 and find theirs smoother and more feature-rich.
Please consider adding these improvements and new features in upcoming One UI 8 updates or future patches. I really hope Samsung enhances the animation smoothness, AI camera tools, and useful daily features to make the A55 experience more premium and competitive.
