They are two different apps. S-Note is preinstalled on Note series phones. Others get Samsung Notes preinstalled.

The app still exists. but the all the new devices come preloaded with samsung notes including the new note8and9. Snote is available for download from playstore but has very limited functionality and features when compared with older versions of this app that are there on note4, note edge etc. and the new samsung notes is not even half as good as snotes.
