it does not mean scratch proof . it surpress or minimize the amount of scratch. example IP6X or IPx7 etc stands for water resistance standards which according to IP standards does not guarantee that it is water proof but it resist water more .
dusty or ruf space or object causes scratches over those glasses . so it minimize the accidental scratches or sharp objects to scratching the surface but it does not mean scratch proof
