My front cam max MP shows 5.2 .. isn't it should be 8MP

Also the performance of camera seems to be very bad. I compare it a 20k Vivo phone and the Vivo phone performs way better in terms of camera.

Bro. Answer is Simple.. To understand it Go to mathematics Formula, Area is equal to Height X Length/Width.. So if the Values of Height & Length will be more than Area will be obviously More (Wider Area) and in reverse of that if the Values of both the dimensions are less than the Area will be less (Normal)..So for Every Angle (Normal or Wider) the number Mega Pixel is identified depending upon Area Covered & Pixels required (H.x L.) to Cover that Specific Area.. Hence in Normal Angle in 4:3 Ratio Highest will be 5.2 MP 4 Front Camera, while for Wider Angle in same way it will be 8Mp..And in this way only it works...

See.. Officially GCam won't work on Note9 (Not Supported) but unofficially you can try any of Developers link from Unknown Sources..But it too won't work Fully as I have also Checked 1-2 Months back...And there is no Rocket science in getting better performance from Camera, just use right Option at right time & Place (Like Use Flash judicially on or Off, Pro Mode in day Light, in low light use Night Mode, Always Clean Lens with Soft Cloth, Your Hand Should not Vibrate while Clicking etc. )
