When you go to network settings you can't specify only LTE /4g so the phone determines the network according to network strength which never lets you use your networks 4g if your network also has 2g and 3g !! as 3g and 2g signals are stronger then 4g so you get 3g or 2g always instead of 4g !! this is irritating !!!

your network operator doesn't support LTE only mode..
if u are in india only jio supports LTE only mode
Rest all operators will show lte/3g/2g.

No you are completely wrong ! Jio has only LTE that's why the phone switches to LTE other operators have 2G , 3G and LTE so the phone switches to the band which has the strongest signal ! this is the fault of the phone as there is no manual mode to switch to only LTE which can only be fixed by a software update , The IPhone 6 when launched had similar problem where one couldn't switch manually from 3G to LTE it was later fixed with a software update !!!!!!
