I have been using Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5G for more than 1 year and 9 months. The main issue that I have noticed from day one is the heating issue. As I am a die hard fan of Samsung Note series, I have never disclose this anywhere thinking Note series can withstand such critical situations. At times, when I need to give the phone to someone else for taking photos (or for some reasons), I literally clear the background apps and put it on Flight mode to cool down the phone. The reason why I always do this is because of the fact that I don't want to let it go down as there are many other positive things about this masterpiece.
I have been using the phone with atmost care, however, due to the heating issue, gradually the gap between the frame and back glass started to increase and one fine day it came out (3 months back).
But sadly from last month onwards, frequently the screen is going WHITE and is flickering with green tint and it manages to revert back to normal after 20 - 30 seconds.
On searching about this issue, I came to know that there are many other unlucky people like me with the same issue and most of them belives that it can be fixed with a software update.
Let me be very clear that, THIS WHITE SCREEN FLICKERING AND GREEN TINT ISSUE IS DUE TO THE DISPLAY'S FLEX ISSUE. THE DISPLAY IS ABSOLUTELY FINE AND WE JUST NEED TO REPLACE THE FLEX AND BOND IT TO THE DISPLAY.
THE REASON FOR FLEX DAMAGE IS DUE TO THE OVER HEATING OF THE PHONE.
The Snapdragon varient is more optimised and far better in terms of heat dissipation than Exynos varient.
So Samsung should take the responsibility and fix this for their flagship phones even outside the warranty period.
As this issue has been noted in their phones from 2015 onwards, they should find a proper fix in the upcoming phones atleast.
Same issue with me , first my back glass came off , literally its glue left it place then in few days display flickered then turned into salt and pepper display and overheated like hell. I somehow switched it off Now after few days I turned it on and it showing green line on.
my note 20 went into pool water for about 4 seconds and died within the next minute. in 2 days, the back glass panel completely came off and glue holding it together was practically invisible. like barely there in some places. samsung is trying to help me out
