Note 9 SCREEN DISCOLORATION

Hey, 

So, on 24th November 2020 all of a sudden my 1.5year old note9 started discoloration issue. The screen started lagging, showing discoloration with yellow and green tinting and horizontal closely spaced black lines showing up on display. At times on unlocking the phone although it makes all sounds and stuff but the screen stays frozen and at times gets pixelated. Tried contacting the service center, they said its software issue not the hardware issue. They tried downgrade the software version but the problem remains the same.

On doing some research I found that the issue is quite widespread and users across the globe are reporting the same issue being faced by me and some other users here. Which as it turns out is being reported as more of a software issue, post the march update.

So, I would like Samsung to help me out, as the problem is because of software update mentioned by the service center itself.


Anybody else facing same problem or faced earlier?
Is your problem rectified, if YES, then how?

I'm note 9 user and bought this device aig 2019 so far it was great experience until today 2nd Dec 2020 there was security patch update for 1 Nov 2020 rollout just few days back and finally today I thought to install. after installation of 1 nov 2020 patch and reboot the display start flickering with Yellow and green tint. this is absolutely lost patch issue and in my friend circle I have heard same who are using note 9. this is absolutely pathetic support by Samsung rolling out patch without proper testing and damaging display for so many customers. I bought this device for $1100 not worth to purchase any Samsung phone on future. worst product and no response i would have purchased iPhone 11 first same cost. The phone doesn't gmhas single scratch and it is top end 512GB model but what's use if display doesn't work.

They cant release a bug free update till now..its a global issue and samsung doesn't take response 😑  weird service
