worst part to be a samsung member. this is a flagship mobile which costs 68k has no updates even Mi and other mobiles which costs below 10k got oreo update 4mnths ago and i am sure that there would be no more changes for note 8 oreo and the other Mi mobiles which costs 1below 10k

Calm your balls mate. Android has evolved to stage where there are no dramatic improvements with the new versions like it was in the froyo/gingerbread era, especially for non-AOSP based phones. So you're not losing out anything by getting the Oreo update a bit late. Also the money you paid was for the hardware, i.e internal components and build quality, which you certainly wouldn't find on cheaper phones. So try to be positive and enjoy your phone for what it is than raging over some updates.

Samsung did a good thing halting the updates. The beta forum for S8 was so horrible with posts from people who don't know what a beta is 🤷

Jokes on you for buying a phone from Samsung if your only objective in life is to watch the version number in settings page to change whether or not it comes with any useful features. Samsung's update pace hasn't changed since the introduction of the first Galaxy S. They've only begin the beta programs since S6/Marshmallow, but it didn't alter the release dates of final builds
