Note 8 display leak

Hi All,

Been using the note 8 for the past 3 days and today I see a yellow light leaking from the left and right edges of the screen when the display is on. This was confirmed a problem here - https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-Note-8-Questions-and/Galaxy-note-8-light-from-edges/td-p/162705

Contacted the local store where I bought this. Will have to wait for the Samsung service store to open on Monday morning to have this checked and ask for a replacement. :(

They should be replacing for this stupid error. Will post an update tomorrow.

have you got ur replacement. I think it's common with all note 8..mine has too that issue. even if u got the replacement that too have this issue for sure. all edge screen mobile from Samsung starting from s6 edge had this bezel bleed issue

Hi, May I know why some people are getting their phones replaced in the US and denied in India for the same exact issue?

Hi All, After 8 days, Samsung says that this is not a defect. I agree that this is on many Note 8's but this should really be a defect because:

1. Some Note 8 phones do not have this issue.
2. People in the US are getting replacements for this issue.
3. It is actually a distraction to the eye in low ambient light conditions.

I have complained to the Samsung CEO office regarding this. They have called me and said that samsung policy in India does not allow them to replace the phones, while they agree that they are doing it in the USA. They also argued that this is not a defect! How can this not be a defect when some phones does not have it? They have asked me to submit the phone in he service center again... I told them that I would do it after 15th Oct as I am going out of India for a week. Will see what will they do this time. I find this very racist!!!
