I am using a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 device. It has the latest firmware update. I have noticed that I am intermittently not able to receive phone calls. This happens in all locations. All I receive is an SMS that I have missed calls. I did rest the phone from recovery mode. I also cleared the cache. Problem persists. I tried the Vodafone SIM in my phone. Vodafone Sim does not show VOLTE. I did not experience this issue with Vodafone SIM. My Jio SIM was inserted in another Samsung phone which is J7. I used it for a week and did not notice this issue.

As soon as I inserted the SIM in Jio phone I noticed that many times even to place a phone call I have to toggle between flight mode. Then the call connects. Looks like my phone enters a state where it does not make or receive calls even though I have full reception on my phone. 

Would someone have a clue?

I experience this with both the SIMs, Network dropping problem is major concern of mine in S9! I use both JIO and vodafone.

it's due to carrier or due to software so report to both
