Battery health mostly 2-3 year, otherwise defend on our Usage. Do backup and format device. check on safe mode, others visit service center after Lockdown then replace battery.

My S8 is showing same behaviour. I sometimes put my device on medium power saving mode. That increases battery duration. However, device responses are slow in this mode. For example, Gmail notifications sound comes after hours or like that. This I don't like. So I again go back to adaptive power mode (with decreased battery duration). By the way, my experience is that a new battery never can replace the original battery quality. Also S8 is the Samsung's last best phone. It has bio-sensors, headphone jack and other features that Samsung won't make a phone with those features any more. Samsung wants we will buy its smartwatch for biological sensors. So will go with my S8 as long as I can!
