Hi,
Recently my 2 years old note 10+ fell in a bucket of water and somehow even rated IP68, it got damaged by water and upon opening the camera app it's saying "warning: camera failed". Samsung service center advised me to change yhe motherboard by paying 24k INR. Is it valid for samsung to ask me to pay for a IP68 rated phone water damage ?
P.S. - The phone was in a bucket of fresh water for about 1minute.

S22 ultra is op.. For now, just go to local market and ask them to open the phone and clean it with sprit.. Don't pay more than 1k..

You dropped it in the toilet, didn't you? I can make out the way you mentioned with stress the fact that it was a bucket and the water was fresh.

I mentioned fresh water because the samsung service center guy kept telling me IP68 works only when it is fresh water. Fresh water/salty sea water you know the difference, right ?

Bro You can Google about your issue typing every smartphone brand one thing you'll find out that.
IP68 Rating is based on proper lab condition. So say RIP to your note 10+ sorry 🥲.
Wait for new premium galaxy and don't submerge it.

Samsung or Apple or any other brand not gonna provide any free service for liquid damage even if you have 1 year warranty or extended warranty.

I did Google about this and there's so many terms and condition.😂🙏🏻
So my suggestion is if you really want your device back then go for motherboard replacement or else buy a new phone.
