Ummm..... The wait is over and Note 10 Lite has received Android 12 aka One UI 4.0 update in India today and I have also updated my device couple of hours ago!!!!

I am sharing my opinion about the update!!

Part I:

1. Notification bar looks cool.
2. Brighter brightness button is attractive.
3. Charging animation is also good.
4. Using wallpaper with color palette option and it's good.
5. Camera quality is slightly facing some issue (Though I am not confirming the same because I have to check in the morning because I haven't taken too much photos in night till date).
6. Limitation of charging at 85% is the option that I needed badly. It's much needed for me and it's working.
7. For the first time, when I swiped down notification panel, I clicked onEdit Buttons on the three dot. I sawCamera Access, Microphone Access and Extra Dim options. I have added them all to the notification panel. The phone completed/finalized the update and I have made a quick restart. But unfortunatelyExtra Dim option is gone after the restart and I couldn't find it from the Edit Buttons. It's sad, extremely saddest part😒!!!
8. Samsung Keyboard looks better than before... Especially create your own emoji option...
9. Looks like absurd behavior of your screen during charging is gone, though I need to check one or two more time before confirming!!
10. Virtual RAM is good but don't know why my RAM usage is by default set as 3.5 GB+ (used), while it used to remain 2GB around in Android 11... #I have not installed any apps in Android 12 yet!!!
11. Battery life is decreased... This is the second time after upgrading to Android 11... It looks that Android 10 was the best options when it comes about your battery life!!!

.....

I will add more pros and cons soon....

5.> I didnt notice any difference in the camera quality though samsung has removed the option of setting the timer for single take feature.
7.> i also noticed the extra dim button dissappearing from the notification panel after restarting and searched for quiet a time but didn't found it again though it is mentioned in the updates list.
9.> Yes the screen is behaving a little absurdly when on charge and it feels like the screen has got its own mind to be followed😂.
10.> i m also facing the same issue of high ram usage going upto 4.3gb or so without any background processes, though has raised a ticket in the members app and recommed you to do the same.
11.> Didn't noticed that. In my case I felt that the battery life has become better by a little.
--> Point to be added: the phone seems to be a little laggy and looks as if the screen is working at like around 15-20hz

Why is high RAM usage bad?

What's the point of having 6GB of RAM if you're not using it?

It is better to keep stuff in memory in case you need it rather than have to fetch it from storage.

Because reading from storage is slower than reading from memory and it also takes more energy to read from storage than it takes to keep refreshing the memory which is what you're already doing because the memory chip is powered on.

If memory gets too full, then the operating system will purge what it needs to to make room for whatever it needs to make room for.
