Galaxy NoteFrom settings/apps, tap on the sort icon (next to your apps) and enable show system apps option. Now scroll down to Media app.
Tap Media, then battery and select restricted option.
Monitor few days to see how it goes.
I can see even WhatsApp is using more memory.
You can even try save media of WhatsApp settings as well.
