Sadly, after the recent upgrade of UI 5.1, I am having issues with my display, with flickering, flashes, and green or pink tints on the screen. I thought something was wrong with the hardware. I googled to find a reason and solution, and found that many users started having this issue after the recent upgrades and updates.
Please help me solve this issue before it damages my phone fully...
I did go to the service center, did a full factory reset and software update.
The issue persisted, but I was able to notice that the flickering and color tints happen when the screen adapts to the lighting... I turned off adaptive brightness and the issue was no longer there.
But I now find that, whenever there is a transition from a dark color to multi color, or when I switch between SOME apps, it is no longer a smooth transition on my display. There seems to be a glitch.
My flickering stopped finally... After updating Google Play System through this path: Settings>About Phone>Software Information>Google Play System Update
Now there is no flickering or tint on the screen during regular usage or while Adaptive display is on...
