After 15 days of wait I get a call from Samsung CEO desk regarding the green line issue on my note 20 ultra after the ui 5.0 software update.

The person was very happy to inform me that Samsung won't be able to cover my device for a foc of screen replacement because of 3 reasons, which are:-

1. Device us 2.5y old and is out of warranty.
2. Their is a small scratch on the bottom of the phone which Samsung is quoting as a dent.
3. The back cover of the device was weakly stuck and it opened when they tired to open it.

Soo, they r not willing to accept it under foc and are telling me to pay 23000rs for replacement of screen, and declined that there so called "flagship" device back cover falls off when device is hot.

Thats the scratch that is being quoted as a dent.

Here is the pic of scratch that is being quoted as a dent, idn how it looks like a dent. (Samsung expects a 2.5y old device to not have a single scratch on it as if their build quality is amazing). Rest whole device is in absolutely fine condition.

Conclusion:-
Not getting the device repaired and had planned to upgrade to S23 Ultra, but now I think this back cover fall issue can be a trouble again incase such issue arises. So maybe we switch to IPhone (atleast their back cover wont fall of without any physical damage).

File a suit against Samsung's CEO at district consumer court, ok . Because this happened after getting Samsung's one Ui 5.0 version updates.

The back panel glue issue is also the result of poor manufacturing quality and they are trying to blame you for their mistakes!!

Don't go for Samsung again.. Samsung flagships have poor build quality nowadays especially the display. I saw a couple of posts about s22 ultra also.
After having this much poor experience from a flagship, you are again thinking about s23 ultra? That's awesome!!!!
Budget device should last for a minimum 3 years and here we are having humongously over priced Samsung flagships failing in 2 years. This is not a stand alone issue but thousands of customers are facing this.

Yes I completely agree with u, I had thought of upgrading with s23 ultra but now I doubt it.

Worst part is many customers are facing this issue but, Samsung says we have not yet received any such complaint.

Samsung is not going to do anything, had the same issue but since I had extended warranty they fixed it, that too after I threatened to sue the Samsung Ceo India. If there is no warranty they will not bother, either we have to pay or throw the phone away!! Never buy Samsung flagship phones again
