I have using Note 9 and Samsung says front camera is 8 megapixel but in actual its shows 5.2 megapixel so any one have same issue

bro when open front camera u can see there two option on screen one is normal and second is wide tap to wide then check it will show 8 megapixels

Bro. Answer is Simple.. To understand it Go to mathematics Formula, Area is equal to Height X Length.. So if the Values of Height & Length will be more than Area will be obviously More (Wider Area) and in reverse of that if the Values of both the dimensions are less than the Area will be less (Normal)..So for Every Angle (Normal or Wider) the number Mega Pixel is identified depending upon Area Covered & Pixels required (H.x L.) to Cover that Specific Area.. Hence in Normal Angle in 4:3 Ratio Highest will be 5.2 MP 4 Front Camera, while for Wider Angle in same way it will be 8Mp..And in this way only it works...

@iMAjay when we have 3 Parameters (3Dimensions), then it is Length X Width X Height but when we are just talking about 2 Parameters only then One is Obviously Height and next one you either Call it Length or Width, it doesn't make any difference..😃😀😂

Hi there,

We would like to inform you that the megapixel of the device camera will always depend on picture size.  When the camera is in normal mode, it will click picture in (5.2 MP) but when you select the wide angel mode and 4:3 resolution, the size of the picture will change into (8.0 MP).

Hence in Normal Angle in 4:3 Ratio Highest will be 5.2 MP for Front Camera, while for Wider Angle in same way it will be 8Mp.
