Samsung, the curved screen is arguably cool or gimmick on normal phones, but on note/stylus version it is silly. It severely hinders the writing experience and screen writing area. Please make the next note/Ultra version with a flat scree.
I have cherished my note 10+ for 4 years. It is in mind condition. It has never been out of a cover and underneath the cover it still has its factory stickers on. I have never damaged a phone in 20 years but teh note slipped out my hand recently and due to the curved screen, the cover only has a lip on the top and the bottom. It would have been protected if it landed fully on the surface but it landed half on a step and half off, so because teh cover does not have a lip along the sides, the screen jsut made contact in the middle. Early a noticeable graze on the screen. No chip or crack, however the display quickly developed a line across and then 2/3s of the display stopped working. This would not have happened had the display been flat and cover could have a lip all around. A replacement screen costs a fortune and now a great phone is uneconomical to repair. It makes me rather mad!
Also, the curved display hinders how you can grip the phone without triggering the screen. Therefore you actually cause way more efumbleing and dropping of phones. Perhaps this is a business/financial descion....? Screen looks nice so people buy it but they will also break them constantly and have to by more screens/phones...
lasting, I have bought a number of screen/battery insurance options with my phones, including on the note 10+ and never got to use any of them because I take such good care of the phones. Now when I need it, it is too late... 😞 If you want to make my day, please send me a screen repair voucher or similar gesture. Thanks!!
