Running the battery under 20% itself degrading the quality of battery heavily.

Don't let your battery down below 20% and don't charge it to 100%. It may reduce battery life cycle. Plugs in before 20% arrives and plugs out before reaching 100%. It may extend your device's battery life to some extent. I am maintaining this process for 3.5 years and still my device's battery works good.

This is samsung.
Their battery backup efficiency is very bad in flagships, its been years and yet not fixed.

Also, the software updates are mainly responsible for this. They lack optimisation, might be doing it purposely to get users to upgrade.
Because this is the case for almost every S & Note series released.

Not only Samsung,If you buy other brand's phones also shows the same results.
It depends on Processor, Os etc..
All the brands are doing this !

No, OnePlus used to give excellent battery backup previously, even with smaller batteries, don't know the present situation.
I know it depends on the processor, but if the software is unoptimised, it can have a huge impact on it. A highly unstable software can even drain a 6000 mAh battery within 1 hour.

Then comes Samsung's flagships, battery becomes too bad compared to other brands just within 2 years of OS updates. Sometimes even replacing battery doesn't show major difference, that leads to a conclusion that the newly updated softwares are pretty much unoptimised in Samsung flagships.

Samsung gives proper updates?
Their recent update is damaging the motherboard of many, leading them to pay and replace. Samsung did nothing about it yet. They just want to earn money, that's all.

If Samsung thinks, They will.
Although they are now focusing on fold series.
It might be the reason.
