"The connected usb device isnt supported" has been stuck in my Samsung M31 notification lately though i have no usb connected...
When i tried restarting and going into safe mode it was removed for sometime but it popped up again later after charging my phone.....

Go to settings >apps>click on 3dot at right top corner>click on show system app >search "usb settings >click on it>storage >clear cache and data.
Restart your device and then try.

its not working....everytime i restart the issue is gone until i put my phone on charge it pops up again

then now only one option take all your data backup through smart switch and reset/format your device
or if possible visit service centre

My s22+ doesn't have that option. I  am trying to get my corded headphones working but it has the usb device is not supported message.

Just clean the charger port in the phone with a clean brush

go to settings,find android system and clear its cache
