Galaxy M1) Power Off your phone completely (You will feel a vibration when it is done).
2) Connect your device to an other device (Like other phone, Laptop or PC) through USB cable and wait until charging animation shows.
3) Press Volume Up + Power button simultaneously and Keep holding the buttons until your device's Recovery mode opens.
4) Then Use Volume Up and Down button to locate Wipe Cache Partition option.
5) Use power button to press the the wipe cache partition button.

Galaxy MProbably the button pressing timing is not perfect for your case. The mentioned buttons should be pressed at same time otherwise it will not work. Also if your devices connection is weak with other device it will not work, check the USB cable.
