My m30s is on September security update, should I update it to latest version as a lot of talk about how Samsung only sends bugs , removes L1 widevine and other features in there update also a lot of peeps are noticing worse battery life, so it is safe for me to update it to the latest version?

I have personally not faced a single issue, but I cannot guarantee they you won't, so proceed with caution. Better use Smart Switch to update.

I'm using m30s. By seeing your security patch level I hope you are on Android 10.
Just like you, I was always reluctant about the Samsung update. but one UI 3 AKA Android 11 was one of the most polished software experiences I ever had from Samsung. Animations were smooth and complete visual overhaul....

But few days back Samsung pushed the update to core 3.1 and the security patch to March After the update, the battery took a tole and the charging speed reduced drastically. Moreover, they pushed bloatware via update.

End of the day, it's your call. Do you want all bells and whistles of Samsung One UI or stuck with old OS and making your phone vulnerable to the latest threats?
