Is there any way to restrict data/internet usage (both foreground and background data) of selected apps ?
I am new to Samsung M21, previously was using Honor's phone where it had an option in settings to restrict data and wifi usage for selected apps.

You can use Samsung Max app.
Here are the steps:
1. Open samsung max.
2. Upgrade Plan to premium (its free).
3. Click on Menu option
4. Make sure you are connected
5.Go to mobile
6. Tap on the app which you want to restrict data(I have chosen Chrome.)
7. Turn off the options that i have squared

we can control all apps' Mobile and Wifi data usage directly from Samsung Max

1. Go to Apps.
2. Deselect which apps are to be restricted.

There is no option to disable Mobile data to specific application on Samsung phones, but you can follow the work around below to do the same.

1. Turn on Data Saver

( Settings > Connections > Data Usage > Data Saver (ON).

2. Set a low data warning and data limit ( May be 100 MB, 200 MB)

(Settings > Connection > Data Usage > Billing Cycle and Data warning > Set Data Limit (100 MB).

3.  Allow only the apps you want to access Mobile data after the limit has been exceeded.

( Settings > Connections > Data Usage > Data Saver  > Allowed to use data while Data Saver is on > Choose your application here.
