✅ Step 1: Re-enable Supported Links for YouTube
After updates, default app settings can sometimes reset. To ensure YouTube links open directly in the YouTube app:
1. Go to Settings > Apps > YouTube.
2. Tap on Set as default.
3. Toggle Open supported links to On.
This setting ensures that YouTube links open in the YouTube app by default.
---
🧹 Step 2: Clear YouTube App Cache
Corrupted cache data can cause issues with app functionality. To clear the cache:
1. Go to Settings > Apps > YouTube.
2. Tap on Storage.
3. Select Clear Cache.
If the issue persists, you can also try Clear Data, but note that this will reset the app to its default state.
---
🔄 Step 3: Update or Reinstall YouTube and WhatsApp
Outdated versions of apps can lead to compatibility issues:
1. Open the Google Play Store.
2. Search for YouTube and WhatsApp.
3. If updates are available, tap Update.
4. If the issue continues, consider uninstalling and reinstalling both apps.
---
🔧 Step 4: Check for System Updates

2. Tap on the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner.
3. Select Reset app preferences.
4. Confirm by tapping Reset apps.
This will reset all preferences for disabled apps, disabled app notifications, default applications, background data restrictions, and permission restrictions.
---
🔄 Step 6: Disable "Open Links in App" in Samsung Internet
If you're using Samsung Internet, ensure that links open in the appropriate apps:
1. Open Samsung Internet.
2. Tap on the Menu (three horizontal lines) in the bottom-right corner.
3. Select Settings.
4. Tap on Useful features.
5. Toggle off Open links in apps.

---

1. Install a different browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox) from the Google Play Store.
2. Set it as your default browser.
3. Test opening a YouTube link from WhatsApp to see if it redirects correctly.
---
