Galaxy M51 lagging and heating up

I just bought my galaxy m51 yesterday and it's  been heating up with even with the slightest of use. Also Snapchat video is lagging as if the video were recorded in 5fps. The battery  too doesn't  feel like 7000mAh, but more like 5000mAh.

Is it just me or is anyone else facing the same issue.

What should I do next?

U made wrong decision u should have spent 4k extra on a71 and got 3 major android updates along with 4yrs of security patch and premium features which no other phone had m series is total **bleep** and has lot of issues

if you buy new one then do these settings first to save battery as by de fault so many apps running on background unnecessarily

1. Connection>more connections settings> disable nearby device settings

2. Location>improve accuracy >disable
A. Wifi scanning
B. Bluetooth scanning .

3. Device care>battery >power mode>select "optimised" and "adaptive power saving".

And then click on "app power management >
And enable these 2 options.
A. Adaptive battery
B. Put Unused Apps to Sleep.

4. Long press on each app specially 3rd party(LIKE FACEBOOK, INSTA,YOUTUBE) and rarely used apps and also ON "GOOGLE APP" as well, then click on>app info> then go to these 3 options below on by one

A. Mobile data> allow background data usage>off

B. Battery >allow background activity >off

C. Notification >disable unnecessary notifications like promotional and unnecessary reminder notifications.

5. Go to settings >apps>search "weather" >click on settings icon right side > change "auto refresh" settings as per your requirements and disable some unnecessary reminder. ( due to auto refresh it continuously consuming battery?)


6. If you use Facebook frequently then disable "auto play video"
And if you are mostly uses mobile, on wifi connection then also disable "auto play videos" in YouTube.

after all settings just wait for next 1-2 days and observe

Okay thanks, I also have another phone with no restrictions to any connections or apps and it still lasts.
I thought the bigger battery would make a huge difference, which it didn't.

what about the lag and heating issues?

these settings are not restrictions, just a smart use of mobile,battery and apps.
just do these settings and wait for 1-2 days ,which i mentioned earlier,
and if not worked then setback as now,
mostly all your problem solved
for e. g see the images i attched some option even you close its run and drain your battery unnecessary,
2nd due to huge unnecessary notification option like in Google
and this is only my suggestion
and obviously last decision is yours

we want all this features ON thats why we buyed a 7000mah battery phone..

even apple has 4000 mah battery but it lasts longer..
