Go to settings--connections there you will get data usage notifications

Bro, you want data usage..then activate it inside connections..but you won't get any notifications on the status bar..except data saver icon..

Exactly what I was also looking for! Redmi phones have just a couple of excellent features that are not present in any other phones. Simple ones, but very useful. Unfortunately, you never know these basic features are missing until you buy the phone. Wonder why Samsung does not incorporate such simple useful features.
